"We cherish and preserve the memory."

"We cherish and preserve the memory."

The memory of the past is priceless, it shapes our present and future. Old photos and letters from veterans are windows into another era that allow us to better understand their lives and exploits. These artifacts contain not only personal stories, but also reflect the spirit of the times. Respect for memory is our duty to past generations.

We visited Margarita Fyodorovna with the children. Margarita and her older sister were evacuated from besieged Leningrad in 1942, her parents stayed, and later her daughters received a message about the death of both parents. She was awarded the badge "Resident of besieged Leningrad".

Margarita Fyodorovna read us beautiful poems and sang a song. And she talked a lot about the lives of her family and friends.
