What is culture? I began to explore this concept, and revealed the multi-layered nature of this concept. If we turn to the origins, it's about cultivation, about nature. K. F. Konchalinsky, professor of the Department of Theory and Philosophy of Politics, argues that ideas about culture are formed only in the Renaissance "as specifically human, different from the natural and divine." The later realization of the differences between "natural", "civilized" and "cultural" occurs in the era of Modern Times, which is inextricably linked with the works of Johann Gottfried Herder, Immanuel Kant. Thus, it is possible to isolate three components of culture: natural, ideological and industrial. I decided to make a cultural code of Kaluga, collecting it from these three layers. For each frame, I used several pictures taken from one place and superimposed them using silhouettes of various codes, where the word "culture" and the number 40 (this is the region of the city) are encrypted.
